Public service of water management
In accordance with the Water Act (ZV-1), the public water management service on the basis of the concession obtained for public utility service tasks carries out tasks related to the organization and management of the monitoring, management and maintenance of water infrastructure and aquatic lands in the river basin district of the Drava and a watershed of Adriatic rivers with the sea.
The activities of the water management service are mainly:
- Preparation and production of the necessary expert bases and technical documentation
- Water infrastructure management, monitoring of the water infrastructure and operation with ramps in the dams
- Implementation of measures on water infrastructure during times of increased threats and natural disasters
- Implementation of measures on water, coastal and other land and water infrastructure, in order to prevent worsening the consequences of the adverse effects of water
- Providing full day service
- Increased control of water infrastructure and water protection areas
- Removing the floating debris and facilitating the flow of the stream of running water
- Implementation of temporary measures (ramparts, breakthroughs)
- Monitoring of sudden water pollution
